Eugenia is a serious couturier with a powerful vision for designs that are dreamlike and elegant. With infinite passion and boundless creativity, Eugenia designs with the bride in mind, taking inspiration from a wide range of sources such as the subtle changes of the seasons, the glamorous starlets from the 30's and 40's, the world-renowned masters of Haute Couture, the lost art of classic tailoring, and very often, the brides themselves. Before coming to the United States to pursue bridal design, Eugenia began her career, more than 30 years ago, working with Haute Couture designers in her native Greece. After years of creating unique custom gowns for her American clients and due to the unprecedented demand for her work, Eugenia decided to create her own line of high-quality, hand-crafted bridal wear and has never looked back.

When Barbara was five years old, she knew that she wanted to be a fashion designer, so it’s no surprise that she has followed in her mother’s footsteps. Joining Eugenia Couture in 2004 after studying fine art and design at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Barbara brings a unique and modern twist to the timeless Eugenia style. With her classical training in drawing and painting, Barbara has contributed a number of fine-art techniques to the design process, including the addition of hand-painted gowns. Throughout the year, she can often be found at choice salons assisting brides in creating their custom dream dress; from sketching the creation to choosing fine fabrics and finishes. Inspired by beautiful textiles, great works of art, and history’s classic beauties, Barbara seeks to recreate perfection with every new design.

Together this mother-daughter team designs gowns and accessories that are often described as “exciting and different”, “unique and elegant”, “dramatic and romantic”, “chic and sophisticated”, “pieces of art”. It is this last remark that interests them most. Utilizing exquisite details, delicate hand-crafted precision, and the finest silks, Eugenia and Barbara strive to make each and every piece a masterful work of art.

Eugenia Vasiliadis and Barbara Vasiliadis Kavchok are the ultra-talented mother-daughter design team of Eugenia Couture. Eugenia began her career working with haute couture designers in her native Greece. Barbara studied fine art and design at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Together, Eugenia and Barbara merge their talents, passion, and creativity to design gowns and accessories that could be considered “pieces of art” and are often described as both “timeless” and “unique”. Timeless because wedding photos are forever, and no woman wants to look back on her big day with “What was I thinking?” remorse. Unique because each woman is.
